Specifying file information
You can specify a user name, file
name, and password for a stored scan
data file.
When this function is used, you can
search for files by user name or file
name, and you can prevent unauthor-
ized persons from accessing the files.
Note
❒ The file name can be up to 64 char-
acters long, The user name can be
up to 20 characters long. The first
16 characters are shown on the
control panel. With DeskTopBind-
er V2 Lite/Professional installed
on a client computer, you can view
the entire string.

Display the File Information
screen.
A Press [Store File].
B Press [File Information].
The File Information screen is
displayed.
The following screen is dis-
played when the network deliv-
ery scanner function is used.

played when the e-mail func-
tion is used.

A Press [User Name].
The User Name screen is dis-
played.

❒ If no user name is programed
in System Settings under the
Administrator tab, the User
Name screen does not ap-
pear. Instead, the Non-pro-
g r a m e d N a m e s c r e e n i s
displayed. Enter the user
name.
B Select the desired user name.

are names that were pro-
gramed in System Settings
under the Administrator tab.
To enter a name not shown
here, press [Non-programed
Name]
