S-VHS/AUDIO OUT Setting

Set "S-VHS/AUDIO OUT" to the appropriate mode depending on the selection of the playing deck (VHS or DV) for editing.

a–AUTO

: The recorder outputs the signals from the deck being used automatically.

The on-screen display is also output.

b–VHS

: The recorder outputs only the signals from the VHS deck. The on-screen

display is not output.

c–DV

: The recorder outputs only the signals from the DV deck. The on-screen dis-

play is not output.

Press MENU to return to normal screen.

● If you select "VHS" or "DV", the Main Menu screen will not appear even when MENU is pressed. To change the menu settings,

connect your TV to the recorder's AV1 (L-1) IN/OUT connector, not to the S OUT/AUDIO OUT connectors.

VHS F-1 INPUT Setting

Set "VHS F-1 INPUT" to the appropriate mode depending on the connector (VIDEO or S-VIDEO input connector) being used on
the front panel.

a–VIDEO

: If a connected device's output is compatible only with regular video

signals, set "VHS F-1 INPUT" to "VIDEO".

b–S-VIDEO

: If a connected device's output is compatible with Y/C signals, set

"VHS F-1 INPUT" to "S-VIDEO". This setting will let you take advantage of
higher-quality S-VHS pictures. (For connection, be sure to use a 21-pin
SCART cable that is compatible with the Y/C signal.)
