4 Close the document sensor
unit.
5 Close the upper transport

Document detection sensor
Clean the document detection sensor as follows:
1 Open the upper transport
unit. (See page 4-2)
2 Hold the handles of the
document sensor unit and
keep the unit open.
3 Wipe the two sensor
windows (a and b) with a
dry cloth or cloth soaked in
isopropyl alcohol.
4 Close the document sensor
unit.
5 Close the upper transport
unit. (See page 4-2)
