To optimize the benefits of SupplierExpress and improve your AP process, implement
the practices that follow. These practices will help you to encourage suppliers to use
SupplierExpress, which will help you to reduce your AP operating costs.
Contact with Suppliers
AP employees determine which suppliers to invite and how best to invite them. Consider the
following as you develop your recruitment strategy:
1 Use the SupplierExpress Open Enrollment feature and email to invite suppliers to
register online.
2 Until the supplier registers, follow up on the invitation using a combination of email,
phone, or postal service contact.
3 Take every opportunity to engage the supplier, including:
▪ Contacts with business users and customer service representatives.
▪ Existing communications channels between your organization and suppliers, such as
procurement newsletters, on checks, and notices on Web sites.
