Kofax SupplierExpress Administrator's Guide
Implementation Process
SupplierExpress implementation is a multi-part process that involves:
▪ Installing the SupplierExpress Agent software and verifying the installation
▪ Contacting Kofax (through the Kofax Customer Portal) to activate your SupplierExpress
Agent on the web service
▪ Configuring your site information in SupplierExpress
Upgrade Planning
You can upgrade the SupplierExpress Agent to a new version or upgrade to a different
integration option. For example, you could change from a Direct ERP Integration to a
MarkView Integration.
When you upgrade from a Direct ERP Integration to a MarkView Integration,
SupplierExpress starts to authenticate users through MarkView. As a result, your suppliers
will not be able to view invoice PDF images from the Invoices tab. However, the supplier
can still view the invoice images from the Invoice Submissions tab. Let your suppliers know
about the change.
To upgrade SupplierExpress, install the latest version of the SupplierExpress Agent.
Pre-installation Tasks
1 Verify that your system meets the minimum requirements described in
on page 27.
2 Log an incident through the Kofax Customer Portal to have Kofax Technical Support
give you the location from which to download the compressed agent installation file and
documents.
3 Complete the SupplierExpress Installation Worksheet, which is one of the documents
that you download from the Kofax Customer Portal after contacting Kofax Technical
Support in the previous step.
4 Continue as follows:

Oracle Pre-installation Tasks
The database administrator must create a SupplierExpress schema user. The installation
process stores the SupplierExpress schema user information on the agent machine and creates
synonyms that allow SupplierExpress access to the appropriate tables in the Oracle database.
The SupplierExpress installation process prompts you for both the Oracle APPS schema user
name and password, and the SupplierExpress schema user name and password.
