The following table describes the probable causes to some problems you may encounter.
Most problems can be resolved by using the information provided in the table.

Printer does not print
(Serial Ports)
* Cable connection problem or invalid pin connections.
* Baud rate and format on serial port does not match printer.
* Check the printer port configuration selected in the DT220.
* COM 1 CTS/RTS pins 7 & 8 if CTS is not wired to RTS on
the printer then jumper pins 7&8 together on COM 1.
* Transmitter/receiver IC damaged
Continuous output does
not update
* “TX CONTINUOUS” disabled in configuration
* Cable connection problem or invalid pin connections.
* Baud rate and format on serial port 2 does not match receiver.
Input port 1 not working * Baud rate and format on serial port 1 does not match host.
*Cable connection problem or invalid pin connections.
Input port 2 not working * Baud rate and format on serial port 2 does not match host.
* Cable connection problem or invalid pin connections.
Invalid weight display or
weight fluctuating
* Invalid calibration parameters.
