Removal and replacement procedures
47. Remove the display panel 3.
48. If it is necessary to replace the display hinges, remove the six Phillips PM2.0×30 screws 1 that secure the
hinges to the display panel.
49. Remove the display hinges 2. The display hinges are available using the following spare part numbers:
❏ 577679-001—for use only with dv3-2000 computer models equipped with a 13.4-inch display assembly
❏ 595178-001—for use only with computer models equipped with a 13.3-inch display assembly
50. If it is necessary to replace the display panel cable, turn the display panel upside down with the bottom edge
toward you.

The display panel cable and the webcam cable are connected together as one piece.
51. Detach the webcam cable from the panel by removing the tape that secure it in place 1.
52. Detach the support strip 2 that secures the display panel cable to the display panel.
53. Disconnect the display panel cable 3 from the connector on the back of the display panel.
