5. MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING
ATTENTION !
All operations of cleaning all parts must be carried out
with the stove completely cold and with the electric
plug pulled out.
The stove does not need much maintenance if used with
certified quality pellets. The necessity for maintenance
increases with use and depending on the performance
requested of it.
5.1. CLEANING TO BE DEALT WITH BY USER
Before EACH LIGHTING
Use the special tool to clean the grate of ash and any incrustation
which could obstruct the passage of air. Fig.26
Remember that only a clean and tidy grate can
guarantee perfect operation of your pellet stove.
A simple visual check, made once a day, will indicate
the efficiency of the grate.
To clean the grate properly, pull it all the way out of its place and
thoroughly clean the holes and the grate on the bottom. If you use
good quality pellets, it usually only takes a brush to get the grate back
into perfect working order. If there are tough incrustations, use the
steel tool provided standard with the stove.
CHECK EVERY 2/3 DAYS
Clean and empty the ash drawers, watching out for hot ash. Fig.27
Only if the ash is completely cold is it possible to use a vacuum
cleaner to remove it. In this case use a vacuum cleaner suitable for
picking up particles of a certain size, such as a drum vacuum cleaner.
Experience, and the quality of the pellets used, will determine the
frequency of cleaning.
It is however advisable not to let it exceed 2 or 3 days.
When the job is completed, re-close the ash drawers, making sure that
they are properly shut.
CLEANING THE GLASS
For cleaning the ceramic glass, the use of a dry brush is recommended,
or if it is very dirty, the special spray detergent, applying a small
quantity then cleaning with a cloth. Fig.28
ATTENTION !
Do not spray the product on the painted parts or on
the door seals (ceramic fibre cord).
