Registering favorites settings ( Assign to Custom Mode)

Editing custom settings

Current camera settings can be saved to three Custom Modes (C1 to C3). Saved settings
can be recalled by rotating the mode dial to

C1, C2, or C3, or using [Recall from Custom

Mode].

Adjust settings in order to save.

• Set the mode dial to the positions other than iAUTO (A),

ART, or movie (n)

mode.

Select [Reset/Custom Modes] in

W Shooting Menu 1 and press the Q

button.

Select [Assign to Custom Mode] and press

I.

Select the desired destination ([Custom Mode C1]–[Custom Mode C3]) and
press the

Q button.

Select [Set] and press the

Q button.

• Selecting [Set] saves current settings, overwriting the registered settings.
• To cancel the registration, select [Reset].

• Settings that can be saved to the Custom Modes

• Settings are preset in each Custom Mode. Selecting [Reset] > [Full] when resetting

camera settings restores the preset settings for each Custom Mode. See “Default Custom
Mode options” for default settings (P. 175).

Recalling custom settings

Settings saved to mode dial

Select [Reset / Custom Modes] in

W Shooting Menu 1 and press the Q

button.

Select [Recall from Custom Mode] and press

I.

Select [Custom Mode C1]–[Custom Mode C3] and press the

Q button.

Select [Yes] and press the

Q button.

• The shooting mode will not be applied if the mode dial is set to P, A, S or M.
