 Prior to Installing the Option
Prior to installing the option, wire the drive, make necessary connections to the drive terminals, and verify that the drive
functions normally without the option installed. Refer to the product manual packaged with the drive for information on
wiring and connecting the drive.
 Choosing the Correct Installation Procedure
The installation procedure differs between NEMA 4X and IP00/IP20 enclosure types. The enclosure type is identified
within the drive model number. Refer to STEP
1. and Figure 6 on page 15 to identify the drive enclosure type.

Locate the drive model number using Figure 4 and Figure 5 . Record the model number for use in STEP 2.

Use Figure 6 to find the digit within the model number that identifies the enclosure type. Record the enclosure
type for use in STEP 3.
Do not use unshielded cable for control wiring.
Failure to comply may cause electrical interference resulting in poor system performance.
Use shielded twisted-pair wires and ground the shield to the ground terminal of the drive.
Properly connect all pins and connectors.
Failure to comply may prevent proper operation and possibly damage equipment.
Check wiring to ensure that all connections are correct after installing the option and connecting any other
devices.
Failure to comply may result in damage to the option.
