1 General Information
1-1 Equipment Function
AEC VacTrac Series conveying systems create vacuum for
conveying pelletized, granular, or powder material in a central
material handling system.
A typical use is as an in-plant distribution system for plastic
processing plants.
1-2 Necessary Documents
The documents listed below are necessary for proper installation,
operation and maintenance of VacTrac conveying systems. You
can obtain additional copies from the Service Department at AEC,
Inc.
Make sure that appropriate personnel get familiar with these docu-
ments:
• This product manual
• The VacTrac Series controller product manual
• Electrical schematic and connection diagrams
• The PLC manual
• Blower and electric motor information sheets
• Operation and Installation manuals for installed options and
accessories
1-3 System Capabilities
VacTrac Series central vacuum systems are as varied as the
applications that they service. Tubing and equipment furnished in
an AEC -designed system is intended to convey the material(s)
specified at the time of purchase at specific rates and distances.
