Installation
3-1 Work Rules
Install, operate, and maintain this equipment according to appli-
cable work and safety codes for your location. This includes
OSHA, NEC, CSA, SPI, and any other local, national, and interna-
tional regulations. Obey these specific work rules:

Read and follow the instructions in this manual before
installing, operating, or maintaining a VacTrac system.
Additional copies are available from AEC, Inc.

Only qualified persons should work on or with this equipment.

Work only with approved tools and devices.
;
Disconnect and lock out power while working on this
equipment.
3-2 Tools and Equipment Needed
You’ll need the following:
• Hand tools.
• Fork lift or overhead lift.
• Wire, conduit, and fittings for wiring runs.
• Anchor bolts with nuts and washers or red head-type anchors.
• Compressed air pipe and fittings.
3-3 Mechanical Installation
Conveying system installations vary depending on the application:
in-plant distribution or rail car unloading, single or multiple
material line systems, pellets, or powders. The sections on the
following pages are general installation rules.
