Ensure that the following items are properly configured:
1. CPU cooling shrouds are properly installed.
2. Front foam packing is properly installed to ensure proper air flow through the chassis
3. Power, data, and control cables are routed properly to ensure the chassis cooling
fans are not shrouded preventing proper airflow.
4. All chassis covers are properly installed.
Warning: Out of warranty damage can occur if these rules are not strictly followed.
Hard Drive(s)
Note:
The hard drive(s) may be removed and replaced without first removing the
chassis cover.
The Hard Drives utilized in the ICON-XT unit are Serial ATA units mounted in
individually removable carriers.
What to do when a failure occurs:
Drive A okay - drive B fault options
A - Run raid-recovery.
B - Unmount drives and replace drive B, then run raid-recovery
C - Power off, replace drive and boot up (System will rebuild B drive on reboot).
Drive A fault - drive B okay options
A - Run raid-recovery.
B - Unmount drives and replace drive A, then run raid-recovery.
Bad Boot Partition
A - Could boot from a floppy disk or cd rom.
B - Power off. Move drive B to drive A, put in new drive B then power up. (System will
rebuild B drive on reboot).
