DOME CABLE DEFINITION AND REQUIREMENTS
For operation, the integrated dome camera requires a video cable to carry the video signals to the remote
viewing site, a power cable to power the dome and an RS-485 data cable to carry commands from the control
device.
Cable Requirements
For operation, the integrated high speed dome cameras require video and data cables as described below:
•
The video cable sends video signals to a remote viewing site. Using a coaxial cable to send video signals
is recommended.
•
RS-485 cable carries commands from a control device to the dome cameras. A CAT 5, 24 gauge cable is
recommended.
