Unpacking the device
We recommend you install the software before connecting the Switch & Sense 8 to your computer.
As with any electronic device, you should take care while handling to avoid damage from static
electricity. Before removing the Switch & Sense 8 from its packaging, ground yourself using a wrist strap or by
simply touching the computer chassis or other grounded object to eliminate any stored static charge.

Installing the software
To install the Switch & Sense 8 software, follow the steps below.
1. Close all applications you have running.
2. Insert the Switch & Sense 8 installation CD into your CD drive.
If you have the auto-run feature enabled on your computer, the main USB CD installation dialog opens.
If the auto-run feature is not enabled on your computer, use Explorer to navigate to the root of the CD
drive, and double-click on the
program. The main USB CD dialog opens.
3. Click on the Install USB Support button
A splash screen appears momentarily on your display, followed by a Welcome… dialog.
4. Click on the Next button.
An Information dialog opens.
5. Read the information on this dialog, and then click on the Next button.
