Configuring isolated input filters

Each input channel on the Switch & Sense 8 has a filter that you can enable and disable from this dialog. The

filter is required for alternating current (AC) inputs, and recommended for almost all DC inputs. Unless you

have a good reason to turn off a filter for a channel, we recommend that you enable it.

1. Click on the Switch & Sense 8 node whose input channel filters you want to configure.

2. Click on the toolbar icon.

You can also access this feature by selecting

Test

from the

USB

menu.

The

Switch & Sense 8 Test

dialog opens.

3. Click on the

Isolated Input

tab.

4. To enable a filter for a channel, click on the corresponding check box.

To disable a filter for a channel, leave the corresponding check box blank.

5. To read back bit values from each channel, click on the

Read Inputs

button.

Channel values appear in the

Isolated Input

fields that correspond to each channel.

6. Click on the

OK

button to close the dialog.

Relay

tab is explained in the chapter "Testing the

Switch & Sense 8 Relays."
