Execute
X
Commands sent to the Serial488/4 w ill result in no action until the unit is
instructed to execute these commands. This is done by sending an X, usually as the
last character of a command string. Commands sent w ithout an X are stored in the
internal buffer until an X is received. Any number of Execute commands may be
inserted into the same command string.

Execute previous Serial488/4 command(s).
Example 1: Execute a Serial488/4 command using dual primary addressing mode.

reset the Serial488/4
PRINT#1,"OUTPUT08;P1F2"
send "F2" to the Serial488/4 command
Flush port 1 input and output buffers
PRINT#1,"OUTPUT08;X"
instruct the Serial488/4 to execute its
command input buffer
