Description
FRC Postec
® Plus is a radiopaque root canal post made of glass-fibre-reinforced
composite with a conicity of 5°18'. The adhesive technique used for cementation
provides a durable bond between FRC Postec Plus, the core build-up and tooth. The
elastic behaviour is comparable to that of dentin.
The high translucency allows the fabrication of highly aesthetic, metal-free restora-
tions.

Size 3
Reamer
High-quality rotary instruments substantially contribute to the success of the
treatment. The dimensions of the reamers correspond to the sizes of the FRC Postec
Plus posts and thus ensure accuracy of fit in the root canal. For easier identification,
the instruments are colour-coded:
blue
➔ Size 0
white
➔ Size 1
red
➔ Size 3
Composition
FRC Postec Plus is a light-conducting, radiopaque root canal post made of glass
fibres. The polymer matrix is composed of aromatic and aliphatic dimethacrylates. It
also contains ytterbium trifluoride.
Indication
–
Anterior region
Size 0: Teeth # 32 - 42
Size 1: Teeth # 12, 22, 32 - 42
Size 3: Teeth # 11, 13, 21, 23, 33, 43
– Posterior region
Depending on the clinical situation, both Size 1 and Size 3 can be used in the
posterior region.
Contraindication
–
Patients suffering from bruxism or suspected bruxism
– Deep overbite
– Less than 2-3 mm supragingival tooth structure
– Circular, isogingival damage
– If patients are known to be allergic to any of the ingredients, FRC Postec Plus
should not be used.
Side effects and other interactions
None known to date.
