Description
Multilink Automix try-in pastes are water-soluble glycerine pastes. The try-in
pastes enable the simulation of the shade effect of all-ceramic restorations
(inlays, onlays, crowns) that are to be cemented with Multilink Automix luting
composite.
It is important to note that the shade and translucency of the try-in pastes
corresponds to that of the cured (!) Multilink Automix luting composite.

Shades
Multilink Automix try-in pastes are available in four shades with different
degrees of translucency:

transparent (high translucency)

yellow (high translucency)

opaque (low translucency)

white (medium translucency)

The shade of the try-in paste may subtly differ from that of the corresponding
uncured Multilink Automix luting composite, since the luting composite at-
tains its final shade only after it has been cured.
The shade effect of the try-in pastes is coordinated with that of the fully
cured luting composite of the the same thickness.

Composition
The Multilink Automix try-in pastes contain glycerine, mineral fillers and dyes.

Indication
Simulation of the shade of the permanent luting composite.

Contraindication
Do not use if the patient is known to be allergic to any of the ingredients of
the Multilink Automix try-in pastes.

Side effects
The hygroscopic try-in pastes cause fluid movement within the dentin
tubules. As a result, the patient may feel temporary discomfort. Therefore, the
try-in procedure should be carried out under anaesthetic or after desensitiza-
tion with a desensitizer (e.g. Telio Desensitizer).

Interactions
Completely rinse any try-in pastes residue from the restoration and the tooth
with water prior to applying the permanent cement. Otherwise, the bond
between the restoration and Multilink Automix may be compromised.

Application

Shade simulation with the help of try-in pastes must always be carried
out before the working field is isolated or the teeth are dried, since dry-
ing temporarily lightens the tooth structure.

Apply a small amount of the selected try-in paste to the restoration and
carefully seat it without pressure. If the restoration cannot be seated eas-
ily, check the inner surface of the restoration as well as the proximal re-
gions for any premature contacts. Do not force the restoration into place
(risk of fracture!).
Note:
Care should be taken when checking the occlusion of brittle ceramic
restorations before they are permanently cemented, as there is a risk of
fracture.

The try-in pastes are water-soluble and can be easily removed under run-
ning water or with ultrasonic cleaners. The restoration should be thor-
oughly cleaned and dried.

Thoroughly clean the tooth structure with water spray.

Permanently seat the restoration with Multilink Automix (See Multilink
Automix Instructions for Use).

Storage

Do not use Multilink Automix try-in pastes after the expiry date.

Store at 2-28 °C / 36-82 °F.

Beschreibung
Multilink Automix Try-In Pasten sind wasserlösliche Glycerinpasten. Mit den
Try-In Pasten lässt sich die Farbwirkung von mit Multilink Automix Befesti-
gungscomposite einzugliedernden vollkeramischen Restaurationen simulieren
(Inlays, Onlays, Kronen).
Bezüglich Transparenz und Farbe entsprechen die Try-In Pasten dem polyme-
risierten(!)
Multilink Automix Befestigungscomposite.

Farben
Multilink Automix Try-In Pasten sind in vier Farben unterschiedlicher Transpa-
renz erhältlich:

transparent (hohe Transparenz)

gelb (hohe Transparenz)

opaque (niedrige Transparenz)

weiss (mittlere Transparenz)

Zusammensetzung
Die Multilink Automix Try-In Pasten enthalten Glycerin, mineralische Füllstoffe
und Farbstoffe.

Indikation
Farbsimulation des definitiven Befestigungscomposites.
