3. SERIES 1000 ONLY: Remove the wrapper assembly on the electronic
head by removing four screws on the side (see right). Save screws for
later reassembly.
4. SERIES 1000 ONLY: Disconnect the existing card reader cable that is
connected to the Series 1000 Reader MPU Board (J5 location).
5. From inside the electronic head, remove the
two screws that secured the existing card
reader & gasket assembly. Remove gasket
and card reader assembly.

INSTALL THE NEW ASSEMBLY
6. Remove the four screws that are supplied in the new reader assembly
(C09986 or C09985) and set aside.
7. Install the new Card Reader Assembly into the
electronic head with narrow portion of reader’s
snout on the right.
