BEFORE YOU BEGIN

Follow all precautions outlined on the Warnings and Safeguards sheet, 035282, that came with this kit.
•
Turn off and lock out all breakers supplying power to the fuel management system.
IMPORTANT:
Do not use power tools. If power tools are to be used, move the Gasboy fuel management system to a safe
location away from the fueling site.
You will need a long magnetized tip #2 Phillips screwdriver to perform this installation. Do not use a power
screwdriver.
NOTE: Assembly/disassembly photos in these instructions show the CFN Islander. Your Series 1000 will be
similar, but not identical to these photographs.
REMOVE OLD COVER AND CARD READER ASSEMBLIES
1. Unlock and open door assembly at the back of the fuel management system.
2. Working from inside the electronic head,
remove the four screws that secured the
existing card reader cover assembly.
Remove and discard cover assembly; it will
not be used in the new installation.

3. CFN ISLANDER ONLY: Disconnect the existing card reader cable that is
connected to the Island Card Reader CPU board (P1 location). Skip to Step 5.
