C35978 Rev. 2008
ASSEMBLY
1. Attach the C02518 card guide to
the C35976 upper mounting
bracket. The guide snaps into the
holes in the bracket. Be sure to
install the guide so that the card
slot is on the correct side of the
bracket, as shown in the drawing.
Push the C08146 washers on to
the card guide mounting posts, to
hold the guide securely to the
bracket.
2. Install the upper mounting bracket
to the door using two c08759
screws from the kit, making sure
that the guide slot faces the inside
of the door assembly. Secure the
thermostat to the door using the
left screw in the upper mounting
bracket, as shown in the drawing.
3. Secure the C07506 display to the
C06370 interface board using two
C01466 screws and C03473 nuts
in the top two holes of the
display/interface board assembly.
Start the screw from the display so
that when secured, the nuts rest on
the top of the interface board.
4. Attach the display/interface board
assembly to the lower mounting
bracket using two C01466 screws
and C03473 nuts.
5. Attach the lower mounting bracket
to the door using two C08759 screws. Make sure the interface board rests in the slot of the card guide in the
upper mounting bracket.
6. Attach the new C05486 ribbon cable between connector P1 of the interface board and connector P6 of the ICR
CPU board.
7. Attach the DC power cable to connector P4 of the interface board.
8. If you have a C05375 Reader CPU PCB with a STAR-GATE program chip on it, skip to Step 9 and DO NOT
install the C06426 IC (ICR2 program).
If you have a C05857 ICR2 CPU PCB assembly, remove the program IC (U13) and replace it with the C06426
programmed IC from the kit.
9. Turn on the power switch.
10. Using a small screwdriver, adjust the contrast by turning the potentiometer located on the display. You can
access the potentiometer through the LCD ADJUST hole in the Interface board. The display may function as a
two-line display, or a one-line display, with data shown on the top line only, depending on the version of the CPU
board software.
11. Close and lock the door.
