Internal Command

The VOL command displays the volume label on a specified disk.

Syntax

VOL [drive:]

Remarks

If you do not specify a

drive, the current drive is assumed. VOL does not

allow the setting of volume labels. Refer to the

LABEL

command for

instructions on setting the volume labels.

Example

s

VOL

Causes ROM-DOS to display the volume label on the default drive, which
is the A: drive.

VOL C:

Causes ROM-DOS to display the volume label on the C: drive.
