6. Select Exit to return to the previous menu.
Hardware Test Menu, Printing
Checks printing operations, sensors, the printhead, and battery
level.
1. Select Hardware Test.
2. Select Printing. You can select from the following options:
diag label, test pattern, gray scale, and adjust contrast. See
Chapter 4, “Diagnostics” for information about the diagnostic
label, test pattern, and gray scale.
3. Select Adjust Contrast to set the printhead contrast.

4. Use l or r to set the desired contrast. The number on
the display shows the current setting. Press Enter to save
the setting and return to the previous menu.
5. Select Exit to return to the Hardware Test menu.
Hardware Test Menu, Sensors
1. Select Stock Sensor to check or set the sensor setting.
2. Select Current Setting to verify what sensor is being used.
3. To change the setting, select Non Indexed or Black Mark.
4. Select Exit to return to the previous menu.
5. Select Sensors to check the on-demand and black mark
sensors.
6. Select Sensor Calibrate to set the type of sensor to use.
7. Select Current Setting to display the current sensor type.
