C O N V E R T I N G A P P L I C A T I O N S
This chapter describes how to convert applications from a
Monarch® DOS-based Pathfinder® Ultra® 6035™ printer to
Pathfinder® Ultra® Gold 6037™ and 6037 EX ™ printers.
Refer to the Programmer’s Manual for information about the C
functions and application development process.
C h e c k l i s t
To convert applications:
1. Edit the source code.
♦ Alter the pc l Init call.
♦ Remove unnecessary font load calls.
♦ Alter pclCalibrate calls.
♦ Change drive references (6037 EX only).
2. Build the application.
♦ Compile the application.
♦ Re-link it with the new libraries.
3. Test the formats.
4. Edit the radio card files.
5. Complete the process as you normally would: build a new
disk image, flash the printer, and test the application.
