Appendix A: Troubleshooting

Bluetooth Wireless Transmission Problems

1 I cannot use Bluetooth to connect to another device.

1. Make sure the Bluetooth feature of the PC and Bluethooth device have been activated and is not in hidden

mode.

2. Make sure that the distance between the PC and Bluetooth device is not over 10 meters and there are no ob-

structions between the PC and Bluetooth device.

USB Device Problems

1 The PC does not recognize a newly installed USB device.

1. Check if unplugging and plugging the USB device helps.

2. Check if removing other USB devices helps.

3. Check if the USB device driver is installed properly.

4. Check if the device needs an external power supply and the power is turned on.

5. If a USB hub is used, remove the hub from the PC and attach the USB device directly to the PC.

Wireless LAN Problems

1 I cannot find a wireless LAN connection.

1. Check if the wireless LAN device driver is installed properly.

2. Check if the wireless LAN radio is turned on.

3. Check if you have wireless Access Point nearby your tablet PC.

2 I can find the wireless LAN connection but the radio signal’s qual-

ity is poor.

1. Move your PC closer to the wireless Access Point or another wireless LAN device.

2. Remove any obstructions between your PC and the wireless Access Point.

3. Check if there is a radio device around that can cause high interference to wireless LAN connection. Consult your

dealer or an experienced radio technician for help.

3 I have good wireless LAN radio signal but have no access to

network

1. Check if the SSID setting is the same for every wireless LAN device in the network.

2. Your PC may not recognize the connection status changes. Restart the PC.

3. Make sure that the IP address and subnet mask setting is correct.

4. Check if the network configuration is appropriate.

5. Check if the user name or password is correct.
