Appendix A: Troubleshooting
Display Problems
1 Nothing appears on the LCD screen.
1. Check if the screen is turned off by the screen saver or power management function.
2. Check if you have properly set the brightness level.
2 Constant black or constant white dots appear on the display at
all times.
1. Small number of discolored or bright dots on the screen are an intrinsic characteristic of TFT LCD technology.
3 The characters on the screen are dim.
1. Adjust the brightness.
Battery Problems
1 The battery does not charge.
1. Check if the AC adapter is securely connected.
2. Check if the battery pack is installed correctly.
3. Check if the battery connector conduction terminals are clean.
4. Check if the battery is too hot or cold. Wait until the battery pack returns to normal operating temperature to
charge the battery.
2 The operating time of a fully charged battery became short.
1. Partial charging and discharging of the battery often may not allow the battery to charge to its full capacity.
Discharging the battery completely and then recharging it will help solve the problem.
3 The battery operating time indicated on the battery meter does
not match the actual operating time.
1. The actual battery operating time may differ from the remaining time reported by the system depending on
how you are using the PC. If the actual operating time is much shorter than expected, please check if discharg-
ing the battery completely and recharging it will help.
