Setting “TIMER SETUP”
• With the S-301, the timer only works when the function is set
to “TUNER” or “DVD”.
• Be sure to set the current time (
page 35). The timer will not
operate if the current time is not set.

CURSOR
0 or 1 button to select
“TIMER SETUP” icon, then press the
ENTER
button.
• The “TIMER SETUP” menu screen appears.

Setting the “ONCE TIMER” and “EVERY
TIMER”

button to select
“ONCE TIMER” or “EVERY TIMER”, then
press the
ENTER
button.
• The respective timer setting screens are displayed.
EVERY TIMER:
Use the every timer to switch the power on and off (standby)
once at the same time each day.
ONCE TIMER:
Use the once timer to switch the power on and off (standby)
at the specified time once only.
CLOCK SETUP:
Use to set the current time (
page 35, 36).
ON:
Select this to start up the screen saver. The screen saver
starts up if no operation is performed for about 5 minutes.
OFF (Factory default):
Select this when you do not want the screen saver to operate.

When “SCREEN SAVER” is selected:
Press the

button to select the
desired setting item, then press the
ENTER
button.

button to select “NEXT
SETUP MENU”, then press the
ENTER
to enter
the setting.
• The next screen in the “SETUP” menu screen appears.
• To exit the once timer or every timer set mode:
Press the RETURN button, you can go back to the previous
screen.

Press the
ON/STANDBY
switch.
• The standby mode is set.
(The power indicator turns orange.)

select start time, end time, and function, then
press the
ENTER
button.

CURSOR •

button to select
“EXIT SETUP”, then press the
ENTER
button.
• The timer is turned on and the timer standby indicator
lights. This completes the setting of the timer.
When the timer start time is reached, the timer operates.
Example:
Listening to P01 (FM 92.5 MHz) from “PM 12:35” to
“PM 12:56” using the “EVERY TIMER”.

“ENABLE”.
ENABLE:
Set this to enable the “ONCE TIMER” or “EVERY TIMER”
function that has been set.
DISABLE (Factory default):
Set this to disable the “ONCE TIMER” or “EVERY TIMER”
function that has been set.
When “TUNER” is selected, the preset frequency can also
be selected.
