Placing a call
There
are
two
types
of
calls,
internal,
known
as
Intercom
calls,
and
external
which
are
placed
over
a
telephone
line.
In
either
case,
you
can
simply
dial
the
desired
telephone
number
and
the
X-44
will
automatically
route
the
call.
If
the
dialed
number
is
part
of
the
internal
numbering
plan
such
as
another
extension,
which
are
numbered
101
through
116,
at
default,
the
call
will
ring
the
appropriate
extension.
If
the
number
is
not
within
the
numbering
plan,
the
X-44
will
automatically
connect
to
an
idle
telephone
line.
In
addition,
you
can
select
a
specific
telephone
line
and
then
dial
the
digits
and
the
call
will
be
placed
over
the
selected
line.

Place a Call
Dial the desired telephone number. The number will
appear in the display but not sent to the telephone line
provider, allowing you to delete (backsp) any incorrect
digits.
Place a Call
Wait 5 seconds or press the “Dial” soft key when you
are satisfied with the entered telephone number.
Place a Call
Lift the handset to speak
privately or remain on
speakerphone.
Place a Call
If the headset is enabled the LED will light, and the
headset port on the telephone will be active. However,
some ancillary headsets require that the handset is
taken off hook.
Place a Call
Replace the handset, or press the speaker button to
end the call
