REPORT CALCULATIONS

Only active Participants are used in these calculations. Active Participants are those that logged in and did a final send
of the exam.

* Scores are treated as one point per correct response and zero points per incorrect response. Non-responders are
treated as incorrect.

Average Points Received

The average points received value is calculated by taking the sum of points for all respondents to an Answer Document
version divided by the number respondents.

Average Score

The average score value is calculated by taking the sum of scores for all Participants to an Answer Document version
divided by the number of respondents.

Reliability Coefficient (KR20)

1

The Kuder-Richardson Formula 20 (KR20) represents the reliability of a given test.

KR20 relates to the consistency of test items from one testing date to the next, or reliability. The same students taking
the same test at two different times would have similar scores on a highly reliable test. A reliable test should have a
KR20 of .70 or higher.

pKR20 = ( K/(K-1)) * (1-( (

ѷ (p*q))/Ȫ²) )

K = the # of items on the test

p = proportion of participants who answered correctly (# correct responses/total responses for this item)

q = (1 - p) note that q is represented this way to eliminate rounding errors

Ȫ = standard deviation of scores for the entire test

NOTE

Essay questions are not included in report calculations because they are
not graded by Triton DCS.
