Software Mismatch Notification
Software Mismatch Notification
If you change the backplane of your platform to install a new module, but
do not update the software to correspond to the new setup, you will be
notified on-screen. You will need to upload the corresponding software
and replace the one currently installed.
There are several ways to upload the software in your unit:

You can use the installation file that you have previously saved within
your unit.

You can use a USB memory drive onto which you have already copied
the installation file.
Note: For more information on how to create installation files and how to use
them to update your unit, see Managing Software Installations on page 41.

You can use HISM.
For the software change with HISM, you will need:

the installation CD (includes the ActiveSync and Mobile Device
Center installation kits)
³
a computer equipped with a USB port; Windows 2000, XP, or Vista
must be installed on the computer.
