6 Using a Probe on your
AXS-200 SharpTester
An optional fiber inspection probe feature may be available on your
AXS-200 SharpTester.
Inspecting Fibers
You can perform fiber inspection, use your unit as a viewer and save an
image of what you are currently viewing.
To inspect a fiber:
1. Press ,
then Probe.
2. Connect the probe to the right side
of the unit (8-pin port), using an
adapter if necessary.
3. Adjust brightness and contrast as
needed (see instructions below).
4. Use the up/down arrow keys to
highlight Save and press to
capture an image.
Note: The files are saved under DATA\My Documents\Probe.
To adjust viewer brightness and contrast:
1. Use the up/down arrow keys to select the brightness and contrast
controls if needed, then press to activate them.
2. Use the up/down arrow keys to adjust the level, then press to
validate the value.
