Appendix C – System Restore
The
DAX-‐16
has
a
restore
button
on
the
front
panel.
It
can
be
pressed
with
an
unfolded
paper
clip.
The
button
serves
two
purposes:
a) P32 Firmware Restore – Hold the button down with the power off. Continue holding it for
five
seconds
after
the
power
is
turned
back
on.
The
power
LED
will
flicker
as
the
factory
firmware
is
restored
to
the
P32
processor.
A
firmware
restore
may
be
required
if
a
P32
firmware
update
fails.
Failure
of
a
P24
firmware
update
does
not
require
use
of
the
restore
button.
b) Load Config from SD Card – If the button is pressed momentarily after the system has
booted
(the
signal
presence
LEDs
have
stopped
flashing),
configuration
information
will
be
read
from
the
SD
card.
This
makes
it
easy
to
transfer
configuration
information
from
one
unit
to
another.
