General Safety Precautions
Warning
– Wet conditions increase the potential for an electric shock when installing or
using electrically power equipment. To prevent shock, never install or use electrical equipment in a
wet location or during a lightning storm.

– Do not look into the ends of any optical fiber. Exposure to laser radiation may
result. Do not assume the laser power is turned off or that the fiber is disconnected at the other end.
Caution

Always follow corporate safety practices when handing, striping and preparing
fiber optic cable, fiber shards can be dangerous if they are not disposed of properly. Always wear
proper safety equipment
– including safety glasses, gloves etc. Refer to corporate standards when in
doubt.
