Customers who are familiar with RECEPTOR 2 programming will obviously be very comfortable in the

"Mixer-style" interface, but as the "Rack-style" interface gains more and more new features, you will likely

find yourself spending more and more time in this exciting new interface.

MIXER MODE INTERFACE

For more information about how to utilize the features found in MIXER mode, please consult the

RECEPTOR manual that came with your unit and is avaialble on www.museresearch.com. There you can

learn about the various features found in this mode. This user guide focusses on the RACK mode interface

and its particular features.

Setup: Bringing your Mixer Mode presets into the Rack Mode World

The SoundFinder function in your RECEPTOR lets you quickly and easily located presets of interest based

on their Tags. Chances are you already have created some presets in the Mixer Mode interface, and you

might want to be able to use them in the Rack mode world.

When you select the Rack Mode interface, you'll notice a tag titled "(Untagged)". This Tag contains all

your presets that you created in Mixer Mode. To re-organize those presets into the new SoundFinder

interface, you can create a new Tag, name it, and then drag and drop your old patches into the new Tag,

or You can load those presets and re-save them adding one or more Tags to the sounds in the process.

Note that the effects architecture of the Rack mode is very different than that of the Mixer mode. There

are no individual channel insert effects in Rack mode; instead there are two main effects slots that can

either be insert or send effects. Although this is a more understandable design for most people, if you are

highly-reliant on long effects chains to get the sound you need, you may wish to continue to use the Mixer

mode interface for performing those particular presets.
