628 GNSS RTK expansion pack Overview
The 628 GNSS RTK Expansion Pack incorporates a highly
accurate NovAtel OEM628 RTK GPS receiver and an
EDGE class 2.5G GSM wireless modem into the Carlson
Surveyor+ and the Juniper Systems TK6000 handheld.
This combination enables precision measurements to be
made with a small, lightweight handheld device.
NovAtel OEM628 RTK GPS Receiver
The NovAtel OEM628 RTK GPS receiver provides
positioning technology using GPS and GLONASS
multi-frequency receivers. These receivers feature
NovAtel’s AdVance RTK and ALIGN technologies. A
120 channel ASIC tracks all current and upcoming
GNSS constellations and satellite signals including GPS,
GLONASS, Galileo and Compass. Configurable channels
optimize satellite availability in any condition. The
OEM628 is software upgradable to track future signals as
they become available. An OmniSTAR receiver provides
GPS correction signals and the ability to receive the new
constellation of satellites in the L5 band.
GSM Wireless Modem
The EDGE class 2.5G GSM wireless modem adds real-
time data connectivity to the handheld device via GSM
networks.
