Testing
This section describes how to perform various test procedures. You should test
the system after installing, after servicing, and after adding or removing devices
from the system.
Control panel
Test the panel by pressing the buttons as described in Table 26 below. Table 27
below provides a list of the arming levels.
Note:
An access code is required when arming if the secure arming option is on.

latchkey is on.
Disarm
The panel will prompt
you to enter an access
code.
Enter the appropriate code.
The panel will disarm
doors, windows, and
motion sensors.
Status
Press Status for panel to
display and speak the
system status.
Police
Press and hold or press the
button twice quickly to
activate a nonmedical
police, fire, or auxiliary
emergency alarm.

Note:
Forty key presses for invalid codes (ten invalid 4-digit codes, for example)
will cause a system access alarm. The alarm locks all touchpads, except key
fobs, for 90 seconds.
