Record Defeat
Follow the steps below to prevent accidental recording.

Press the MENU button to display the pop up menu.

Press the PLAY/A button or the STOP/V button to select
VCR SETUP» then press the F.FWD/+ button.

4 RECORD DEFEAT [OFI^
TO SELECT PRESS NUMBER
TO END PRESS EXIT

Press the Number 4 button so that ON appears to the
right of RECORD DEFEAT.

Press the STATUS/EXIT button.

Now» REC DEFEATED will flash on-screen when you press
the REC(ord)/OTR button.

Helpful Hints
If you put theV/iVCRin Record
Defeat mode after a timer recording
hos been programmed, the timer
recording wiii not be carried out
If you put theTV/VCR in Record
De/eot mode, then try to program a
timer recording, you will not be able
to program a timer recording, VCR
PROGRAM cannot be selected from
the pop up menu.
To take the V/P/CR out of Record
De|eot mode, repeat steps I - 2
above. At step 3, press the Number
4 button so thot OFF appears to
the right of RECORD DEFEAT on­
screen. Press the STATUSIEXIT but­
ton.
