30 One Touch Recording
The one touch recording (OTR) ftjnction allows you to program
an immediate timed recording from 30 minutes to eight hours long
without setting the timer.
Before you begin, make sure:
e Channels are programmed.
o There is a tape in theTVA^CR,The record tab must be intact.

Use
the
CHANNEL
Up/Down
buttons
or
the
Number
buttons to select the channel you want to record.

Press the (Tape) SPEED button until the desired record
ing speed (SP, LP, or SLP) appears on-screen. Deto//s are on
page 29.

Press the REC(ord)/OTR button repeatedly, until the
desired recording length appears in the upper right corner of the
screen. Recording will begin immediately.The REC(ord) light will
appear.

To stop an OTR before recording is finished, press the
STOP/EJECT button on theTV/VCR.
Or, press the REC(ord)/OTR button, then press the
CLEAR button, then press the STOP/T button on the
remote control.

Helpful Hints
To check the time remaining for an
OTR after the OTR has been set,
press the STATUS/EXIT button.
To change the recording length while
an OTR is in progress, press die
REC(ord)/OTR button until the
desired recording length appears on
screen.
You can not pause an OTR.
To cancel an OTR, but continue
recording, press the REC(ord)IOTR
button, then press the Cl£AR but
ton. ,
You cannot record if the TVIVCR /s
in Record Defeat mode. Details are
on page 36.
You can cfjonge the tape speed v/ith
the (Tape) SPEED button while a
recording is in progress, but some
dfstortfon may appear on the tape.
If the end of die tape is reached
during an OTR, recording v/ill stop.
TheTV/VCR v/HI eject the tape and
shut itse/f ofl: The REC(ord) light
may flash.
