32 Timer Recording

Follow the steps below to program the TV/VCR to record TV pro­

grams while you’re away from home.You can program up to eight
timer recordings. For each one,theTVA^CR will turn itself on,

record, and turn itself off automatically. Before you begin make

sure:

o The clock has been set. If not, CLOCK MUST BE SET appears,

o Channels are programmed.

o There is a tape in the TV/VCR (make sure the tape’s record tab

is intact and the tape is long enou^ to record the program).

Complete each step within 60 seconds of completing the
previous step. If you don’t, you may start again at step 1.

Press the PLAY/A button or the STOP/T button to select

VCR PROGRAM, then press the F.FWD/+ button.

Select a once, daily or weekly recording.

o Press the Number 1 button to select ONCE. The TV/VCR will

record a TV program on any day you choose, up to 12 months

away.

Press the Number 2 button to select DAILY. The TV/VCR will

record from Monday through Friday - starting at the s^e time

and recording for the same length of time every day.

o Press the Number 3 button to select WEEKLY.The TV/VCR will

record on the same day, at the same time, and for the same
length of time every week.

Helpful Hints

If the power fails^ programmed

timer recordings will not be lost The
programmed timer recordings will
be restored when the clock is reset

after the power failure. (The clock

will reset itself OLftomatically if you
are using the AUTO CLOCK, feature.
Details are on pages 14- 17Af you
are not using the AUTO CLOCK fea­
ture, reset the clock manually; then,

the timer recordings will be restored.
Details are on pages 12 - l3.)The

timer recording will not occur only if

the timer recording was schedu/ed
to toke place during the power fail­
ure.

You cannot set a timer recording if

die TV/VCR is in Record Defeat
mode. 7b set the Record Defeat
mode to OFF, see page 36.
