correct for an undesired pitching tendency (the latter is described in the ACRO model setup

section).

Using the Programmable mixers

1. Call up the mixer screen by repeatedly pressing one of the

MODE

buttons

until the

PMXI

or

PMX2

window appears. The default is for the function to

be inhibited. To activate, press the

CURSOR

key, then press the (+)

DATA

INPUT

key. This will cause the flashing

INH

display to change to a

flashing

ON

display.

2. Now you’ll select the Master channel for the mixing, the channel that causes the mixing to

occur. Press the

CURSOR

key to get the little arrow above the channel numbers flashing on

and off, then press the (+) or (–)

DATA INPUT

keys to get to the number of the desired master

channel.

3. Next you’ll put in the Slave channel, the one that is affected by

motion of the master channel. Press the

CURSOR

key to get the little

arrow below the channel numbers flashing on and off, then press the

(+) or (–)

DATA INPUT

keys to get to the number of the desired slave channel.

4. Now press the

CURSOR

key, this will cause the plus or minus sign in front of the large

number to flash on and off. You can set the direction the mixer works on each side of the

master channel’s control’s motion by changing this flashing sign with the (+) or (–)

DATA

INPUT

keys. For example, for a model that pitches during knife-edge flight, you’ll want to

input either up or down elevator for either direction of full rudder. Therefore, you’ll either

set plus or minus for both sides of the master channel’s motion (indicated by the

R/U

or

L/D

indicator in the window). Verify that you get the proper motion of the slave channel when

you move the master (don’t worry if the amount of travel is incorrect, you’ll set this in the

next step).

5. Again press the

CURSOR

key; this will cause the small percent sign in front of the large

number to flash on and off. At this point you choose the percentage of mixing for both

directions of motion of the master channel. You may set a value of 0% to 100% for each

direction by moving the master channel in both directions, one at a time, and changing the

percentage number to suit. Now verify that the slave channel responds both the correct

direction and amount for travel on both sides with the master control. If you wish to return

the mixing percentage to the default 50% value, press both the (+) and (–) keys

simultaneously.
