Note If you have difficulty removing the Port Adapter Jacket Card from the lowest slot of a Cisco 7200 VXR router that is
rack-mounted, remove the port adapters, and processing engine from the chassis., then remove the Port Adapter Jacket
Card.
Step 6 Loosen the captive installation screws found at the top left and right corners of the Port Adapter Jacket Card and, using
the handles on the Port Adapter Jacket Card, pull the Port Adapter Jacket Card from the chassis.
Step 7 Replace the Port Adapter Jacket Card with an I/O controller blank panel or another Port Adapter Jacket Card to ensure
proper airflow through the router.
Step 8 If the Port Adapter Jacket Card has been replaced, insert a port adapter or a port adapter blank panel into the Port
Adapter Jacket Card to ensure proper airflow through the router.
Step 9 Tighten the captive installation screws.
Step 10 If you removed the processing engine or port adapters from the chassis, replace them in a bottom-to-top order.
