Defects and Extreme Usage
If safe operation can no longer be
presumed, shut down the unit and
secure it against unintended
operation. The unit must be presumed
unsafe to operate:
• if it shows visible damage
• if it no longer operates
• if it has been stored for long
periods under adverse conditions
• after harsh treatment during
shipping
Power disconnected!
The instrument is disconnected from
the power source by pulling the plug
of the power supply cable out of the
mains socket. For this reason the
power supply shall always be free for
access. Also the mains socket should
be near the instrument.
Caution double pole/neutral fusing,
disconnect plug of power cord from
socket before service.
Caution: For continued protection
against risk of fi re replace only with
same type and rating of fuse.
Safety gloves!
During operation of the instrument the
operator shall be protected properly.
We recommend safety gloves, safety
glasses and tightly fi tting clothing.
