APPENDIX E - Warranty Repair and Service
Warranty
Brookfield Viscometers are guaranteed for one year from date of purchase against defects in materials
and workmanship. They are certified against primary viscosity standards traceable to the National
Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST). The Viscometer must be returned to Brookfield
Engineering Laboratories, Inc. or the Brookfield dealer from whom it was purchased for warranty
service. Transportation is at the purchaser’s expense. Remove the spindle from the viscometer and
attach the shipping foam block (see Figure I-2) to prevent shipping damage. The Viscometer should
be shipped in the original packaging provided with the instrument along with any spindles that need
service. If returning to Brookfield, please contact us for a return authorization number prior to shipping.
