The Secondary Cue signal controls an open collector output on the GPI/O connector. See Appendix A for
wiring diagrams.
Secondary cues are not recorded as audio tones and do not require disk space or an extra track. DigiCart/E
remembers when and how long you press and hold the
REC
button while in Edit Mode and places that data
in the file’s information header. Each cut can store one cue activation.
When a cut is played in Edit mode, the RECORD light will illuminate for the duration of the Secondary
Cue activation. There is no Secondary Cue indication on the front panel when the cut is played outside of
Edit mode.

Select a cut to edit, then press the
EDIT button
.
Press
STOP
, then Press
PLAY
to play the file in Edit mode. During playback, press the
REC
button at the
location where you want the Secondary signal to actuate.
Release the
REC
button at the location where you want the Secondary signal to stop.
DigiCart/E will automatically overwrite old Secondary Cue marks.

Select the cut you want to edit, then press the
EDIT
button. When the cut is not playing (Stopped or idle),
press and hold the
REC
button and press the
EXIT
button to delete the cue.
