If you configure PWE3, you must specify P2P as the link layer protocol for the subinterface to
create a PW on an ATM subinterface.
4.3.2 A static PW cannot be switched with other PWs
Fault symptom
After you configure static PW, you find that the static PW cannot be switched with other PWs as
shown in Figure 4-13.
