4. Press the SAMPLE key to take the sample. If the sample meets the limits shown in Table
4-3 or Table 4-4, the scale will now display 100%.
NOTE:
If the scale displays an “Add” message, the weight of the reference item you
wish to sample is too light for your scale to process at all.

DISPLAY APW MODE
This mode is used to indicate the Average Piece Weight (APW) of the items you are
counting in grams.
1. Sample the items you wish to count by following the procedure described in Section
4.1.
2. Press the UNITS key until the APW annunciator is lit. The scale now briefly displays
the current APW before reverting back to weighing mode.
