Message List
The following messages are displayed on the LCD monitor.
Busy. A picture is being stored on the CF card, or the camera is
loading a recorded image.
No CF card Attempted to take a picture or play an image with no CF card in the camera.
CF card error. There is a problem with the CF card.
CF card full. No more print orders can be stored.
Naming error! A file already exists with the file name that the camera is attempting to create.
Or the file numbers have already reached the maximum value and no new file
numbers can be created. Transfer the necessary number of images to a
computer, then use the computer to format the CF card. Note that formatting
will erase all images and information on the CF card.
No Image. No images are recorded on the CF card.
Image too large. Attempted to play an image having a size larger than 3200 x 2400 pixels.
Incompatible JPEG format. Attempted to play an image having a JPEG format that is not
compatible with the camera.
Corrupted data. Attempted to play an image containing corrupted data.
Cannot rotate Attempted to rotate an image recorded by another camera or
in another format, or processed by a computer.
Unidentified Image Attempted to play an image taken in a special format (such as
a format unique to a camera from another manufacturer).
Protected! Attempted to erase a protected image.
Too many marks. Attempted to enter a print order quantity that is too high. Enter a lower quantity.
Cannot complete! Print order setting could not be stored.
CCDRAW Playback of a CCDRAW image captured with a different camera was attempted.
Error Codes
If a camera error occurs,
“Err
xx” will be displayed on the LCD panel. Refer to the table below
to check what the error code means. If the same error occurs often, something is probably
wrong with the camera. Jot down the “xx" error code and take your camera to the nearest
Canon Service Center (->back cover). If an error occurs after you take a picture, the camera
might have missed the shot. Press the playback button to see if the image appears on the LCD
monitor.

There is a problem with the CF card. Do one of the following: Remove and
reinsert the CF card, format the CF card, or use another CF card.
Err nu un
The CF card is full. Delete unnecessary images or replace the CF card.
Err OS
Something obstructed the built-in flash’s pop-up operation.
Turn off the main switch and turn it on again.
Err
S 3
Either turn off the main switch and turn it on again or remove and reinsert the battery pack.
