In Al Servo AF mode, if an object passes between the camera and the subject, you can
press the <*> button to pause AF operation and keep the camera from focusing on the
obstruction. Exposure is determined when you take the picture.
This is useful when capturing subjects that move and stop repeatedly. In Al Servo AF mode
you can press the <*> button to start or stop Al Servo AF operation. Exposure is
determined when you take the picture. The optimum focus and exposure are thus always
ready for the decisive moment.
