Camera Recording
Attach power source.
• When using a battery pack, make sure it is fully charged (see p.9).
Turn camera on.
• OPERATE/CAUTION indicator lights up.
EJECT
Press EJECT button.
• Video cassette compartment opens.

Load video cassette and close video cassette
compartment.
• Insert with window facing out.
• Camera goes into record pause mode.
• If erasure prevention switch is set to “save”, camera goes into stop
mode (see p.2I).
Press TAPE SPEED button to select tape speed.
• For best picture quality, select SP.
• For double recording time, select LP.
Turn grip for easy handling.
• See p.l5 for adjusting grip.
Press START/STOP button.
• Recording starts.
• Tally lamp flashes rapidly and “REC” appears in viewfinder.
• See Advanced Functions section for information on making your
recordings more effective (pp.36—61).
